During second world war Florence Nightingale (1820-1910) made her emphasis on the preparation of Nurses for the care of the sick, prevention of diseases and promotion of Health of the individual in particular and community at large.
The Nursing has been considered as a science, which requires a sound and scientific education involving Head, Hands and Heart. Professional Nursing is a service promoted to the promotion of human and social welfare. Nursing helps to attain this objective by applying scientific knowledge and skills to the services, which include caring of sick, promotion and restoration of Health.
A professional Nurse is a graduate of a recognized college who has met the requirements of a registered Nurse at the National or International level in which she/he licensed to practice.
T.R.I.S.H.A Society is registered under Indian Public Trust Act in the year 2003 at Agra. Being a charitable trust, the trust accepts services to the sufferers with entire zeal and devotion. The trust has undertaken many more social activities. The Trust is having a Hospital attached with the Tandon Nursing College with a bed strength of 100 with all modem amenities with a motto of free service to the poor and needy patients. The hospital is having both indoor and outdoor facilities with beds of most of the specialties. Further the hospital has a fertility clinic, test tube baby clinic, intensive care unit for Neonates and a full fledged maternity home with an average of more than 100 deliveries every month.
The Hospital undertakes workshops, laparoscopic and endoscopic camps and National Pelvic Surgery workshops for the benefit of the patients and the Nursing Staff. For clinical training apart trom Dr. Tandon Nursing Hospital the Nursing College has affiliation with S.N.Medical College Agra, Asopa Hospital Agra, Kamayani Hospital Agra, Mental Hospital, Agra and Rural and Urban Health Centers attached to Medical College, Agra. Hence all the infrastructure facilities are available with the college to produce good Nursing Graduates with all skills for caring the sick as well as protection and promotion of health of individual and of the society. |
